Biography
Sophia Müller is a German-Swiss investment banker and financier widely regarded as one of Europe's most influential financial executives. She serves as Managing Partner of GlobalFinance Group, one of Europe's largest investment banking and wealth management institutions, which she joined in 2002 and has led as Managing Partner since 2018.
Born in Frankfurt in 1974, Müller studied economics at the University of Frankfurt before earning her MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau. She began her career at Deutsche Bank in London before moving to Goldman Sachs where she spent eight years in the Mergers and Acquisitions division.
Under her leadership, GlobalFinance Group has expanded its AUM from .4 trillion to .3 trillion and opened 12 new offices across Asia, the Middle East, and North America. She is a member of the World Economic Forum's Financial System Governance Board and an advisory board member of the European Central Bank's digital euro working group.
