Biography
Fatima Al-Rashid is an Emirati businesswoman and the Chief Executive Officer of SkyBuild Properties LLC, one of the UAE's leading real estate development companies. Under her leadership since 2016, SkyBuild has expanded from a primarily Dubai-focused developer to a regional powerhouse with landmark projects in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Born in Dubai in 1979 to a prominent Emirati business family, Al-Rashid was educated in the United Arab Emirates before pursuing civil engineering at University College London (UCL) and an MBA at INSEAD. She joined SkyBuild in 2005 as Head of International Development and became CEO in 2016, becoming one of the most senior female executives in the Gulf real estate sector.
Al-Rashid is widely credited with diversifying SkyBuild's portfolio away from purely residential towers into mixed-use, sustainable, and smart city developments. Her flagship project, the Azura Smart District in Dubai South, has won multiple international architecture and sustainability awards. She serves on the UAE Gender Balance Council and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader alumna.
